This is my personal project completed as part of T-Works (Telangana state’s Electronics and Hardware Incubation Platform) MAKE-A-THON challenge in year 2020. As part of this challenge participants have to make the product in a stipulated time based on innovative ideas that are submitted by kids. I have done this project to create a product along with other two friends for my daughter’s idea itself.

Idea Details

Here is the idea description submitted by my daughter for which I made the product using 3D Modeling, 3D Printing & IoT sensors.

The device would be like a Wrist Watch with the strap as shown in the sample picture below so that it would be simple and non-dismissive for the kids to wear it. It will not be lost or fell over or slip anywhere and stick to the hand always and be with the person (unless the child removes it!).

Making of the Product

3D Modelling

Materials and Hardware used in the making

Product Design

I made the following architecture/design to make the final product.

Aurdino PIR Sensor Code

Final Product Reveal

Although we couldn’t complete the product as per design, we have made the product to a good state with so much of learning with IoT sensors, product making and design complications. It’s not that straightforward to build a product from Idea eventhough the idea may be simple. Here is the final reveal of out product and we made the idea inventor happy enough to accept the first version of the product :)
